Abstract

With the development of contemporary world, new trends have been promoted for welfare of society. Humanity cannot ignore the tools of modern development which are utilized with full human strength. Media is a current tool of development in positive sense and negative as well. The media has multiple usage in contemporary world and it is approachable under every human finger. In the shape of social media it may play pivotal role to uplift the society with human characteristics achieving human salvation in the world. According to other side of the picture, it may attack others with pushing specified targets to achieve satanic goals. This research explores the role of media in the development of the society to achieve good and positive objectives for the humanity. With this study, media role will be analyzed according to Islamic teachings to polish the usage of social media direction in the society. It may open new avenues for further study among searchers and scholars.
